Recently, Tyronn Lue, the head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers, sat down for an exclusive interview with RealGM. During the conversation, he discussed the injuries of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

Lue expressed optimism, stating that both Leonard and George are expected to be fully recovered before the start of the upcoming training camp, which is set to begin next month.

This news brings excitement as the team looks forward to having their best players back in top form. Lue also acknowledged the challenge the team has faced in the past three years, with their two star players rarely playing a full season together.

Since the arrival of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in 2019, the Clippers have been plagued by injuries. Leonard has played in only 52 percent of the Clippers' games, while George has participated in 61 percent of the games.

Moreover, the two have had limited opportunities to play together on the court. In the previous season, they appeared together in only 38 games, with Leonard playing 52 and George playing 56.

George's season was marred by a knee sprain, while Leonard had to deal with a meniscus injury that kept him out of two playoff games.

Lue expressed his hope that both Leonard and George will remain healthy in the upcoming season. He believes that their good health will be crucial for the Clippers to pursue their championship aspirations in the 2023-2024 season.

In recent years, the Los Angeles Clippers have struggled to achieve their desired level of success due to a series of injuries. Leonard and George, as the team's core players, have been unable to consistently stay on the court, particularly during crucial playoff and key games.

These injuries have hindered the Clippers' ability to contend for a championship, despite their considerable talent.

In response to this challenging situation, Head Coach Tyronn Lue has proposed several program changes.

During regular season games, the Clippers have implemented a rotation system to manage the playing time of their star players in order to prioritize their health and physical condition.

While this approach cannot completely prevent injuries, it has proven effective in safeguarding the players' well-being and prolonging their careers. However, Lue, as the head coach, has grown increasingly dissatisfied with this rotation system and is advocating for its abolition.

While Paul George has not made a definitive statement regarding the rotation system, he remains confident in the Clippers' ability to win a championship in the upcoming season.

He also hopes to secure a contract extension with the team, as it would provide him with a greater sense of security and influence within the organization.

Undoubtedly, if Leonard and George can stay healthy, the Clippers remain a formidable contender.
